All members of the VCU community must attend an orientation prior to reserving the following equipment or spaces.
Makerspace
Faculty seeking class tours and orientations to Workshop spaces and equipment, please use the Class Tour/Orientation Request form.
Individuals please register for the following orientations using the Summer Orientations Request form:
- Prusa MK4 3D Printer (Beginner)
- Epilog Laser Cutter/Engraver
- Sewing Machine
- Digital Embroidery Machine
- Juki Pearl Line MO-654DE 2/3/4 thread serger
- MakerBot Method X 3D printer (Academic projects only)

Production Studios
Faculty seeking class tours and orientations to Workshop spaces and equipment, please use the Class Tour/Orientation Request form.
Individuals please register for the following orientations using the Summer Orientations Request form:
- Audio Recording Studio: Podcast (focus is more on voice projects)
- Audio Recording Studio: Music (focus is more on music projects)
- Simple Studio, a one-stop shop for video/audio production
- XRAM Studio: Immersive (focus is more on gaming and extended reality)
- XRAM Studio: Video (focused is more on camera, lights, streaming)
