Description
Embodied Knowledge, a juried exhibition showcasing the work of disabled artists from the Richmond community, will be on display on the first floor of the Health Sciences Library from October 14, 2026, through February 13, 2027.
This exhibit recognizes disability as a source of expertise, centering the perspectives of disabled artists and creating space for forms of knowledge that are often overlooked within traditional medical and academic settings. Bringing together work that reflects experiences of illness, disability, healthcare, and survival, the exhibition asks viewers to consider how lived experience can expand our understanding of medicine and what our bodies can teach us.
